#NerdTalk: The Day of the Doctor

Ammetto subito di non essere una fan storica di Doctor Who. Ho iniziato a seguire la serie nell'agosto 2012, ma in pochi mesi ho recuperato tutti gli episodi, almeno della versione iniziata nel 2005. Nonostante questo, è impossibile non restare subito catturati dalla trama intricata e dal personaggio del Doctor che, vi ricordo, finora abbiamo visto interpretato da Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant e Matt Smith - rispettivamente 9th, 10th e 11th.

Oggi non potevo proprio esimermi dal pubblicare qualcosa a tema, quindi buttiamoci subito nel TARDIS e allons-y!

#PopCorn Moment: Parkland (Peter Landesman)

A 50 anni dalla scomparsa del compianto presidente John Fitzgerald Kennedy, ancora se ne parla e riparla tra film, libri e tv. Cinquant'anni e ancora non si hanno idee chiare su quello che accadde davvero quel lontano 22 Novembre 1963. Oliver Stone ce ne ha parlato nel suo riuscitissimo JFK che ci ha riproposto Rai4 proprio ieri sera. Stasera, invece, non perdetevi Parkland di Peter Landesman.

The Hunger Games - Catching Fire: Roma in fiamme!

Il 14 Novembre è stato il giorno più atteso di questo Roma Film Festival specialmente dalle migliaia di fans di The Hunger Games, me compresa. se n'è parlato tantissimo e dopo qualche giorno di ripresa post-festival finalmente ho un po' di tempo da dedicare al mio racconto di quella giornata fantastica.

It's been a year since I took the plane that would lead me to the best experience of my life.

November 7th, 2012. Runs to the airport, almost missing the flight in London and getting a second check at customs, I made it and I got to Los Angeles, California. The United States of America. 

I've been dreaming about this day for ages. I always felt some kind of connection with the American way of life and last year I became a part of it. For this I mostly have to thank some wonderful people starting with the amazing friends I had the chance to experience this with: Kia&Vale. They were with me every step of the way and we grew up together, during this intense journey through life.

So, to thank my companions and all the people that helped us and gave us the love and affection we needed, I like to call them my family (and you know who you are), I'm gonna post some american memories all through these next three months. All those posts will be in english, sorry.
